InterContinental Durrat Al Riyadh Resort & Spa, an IHG Hotel
About
You know what caught me off guard about InterContinental Durrat Al Riyadh Resort & Spa, an IHG Hotel? It's actually more of an escape than just another city hotel. I mean, when you think of Riyadh, you probably picture glass towers and business districts, but this place sits in what feels like its own little oasis – honestly, the moment you drive through those gates, the whole city vibe just melts away.
The resort sprawls across these beautifully landscaped grounds, and I'm talking about the kind of gardens that actually make you want to take a walk after dinner instead of collapsing in your room. The pools are the real showstopper here though – there's this main infinity pool that seems to go on forever, plus smaller, quieter spots where you can actually hear yourself think. The spa complex is massive too, and they do this whole traditional hammam experience that's... well, let's just say it's pretty intense in the best possible way. What I really appreciated was how they've managed to blend that international luxury hotel feel with genuine Saudi hospitality – the staff don't just smile and nod, they actually seem to care about making your stay work.
The rooms are spacious (and I mean properly spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious), with these floor-to-ceiling windows that frame either the gardens or the pool area. Check-in was surprisingly smooth for such a large property, though I'd avoid arriving during wedding season if you want peace and quiet – this place is popular for celebrations, and Saudi weddings are... enthusiastic affairs. The restaurants are solid – the Italian spot does a decent risotto, and the Middle Eastern restaurant serves some of the best lamb I've had in the kingdom. Parking is never an issue, which honestly is a blessing in this city. If you're looking for something beyond the typical Riyadh business hotel experience, especially if you want to actually relax instead of just sleep between meetings, this place delivers. Sure, it's not cheap, but the 8.3 rating makes sense when you're dealing with this level of space and service in a city where both are pretty rare.

Staff are super helpful and friendly from the reception, restaurant and pool staff. Nice location with the lake , ducks , fish.
This is our 2nd time visiting. This is a little gem on the outskirts of Riyadh. Very family orientated but also great for couple and businesses. Staff are exceptional. Manager Hasan from the restaurant was awesome and helpful. Enas from reception was so very helpful with us and made our stay even better. Food is top class, breakfast was lovely with amazing selections. Spa facilities are incredible. We will visit again for sure.

You know what really caught me off guard about SAFGflats? The moment I walked in, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like a friend was handing me the keys to their incredibly well-designed apartment. I mean, I’ve stayed in plenty of 4-star places that feel stuffy or try too hard to […]

You know what caught me off guard about مسكن سندس بتصميم راقي ودخول ذاتي? The self-check-in system actually works flawlessly – and I say this as someone who’s been burned by those keypad disasters at other places. The whole setup feels refreshingly modern without losing that personal touch you want when you’re staying somewhere new. […]

You know, I’ll be honest – when I first booked Luxury studio, استديو راقي, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect.
