Well, this one actually has some personality to it. The lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” but still makes you feel like you’re somewhere special. The marble floors are gorgeous (though they can get a bit slippery when wet – learned that the hard way), and there’s this subtle incense scent that somehow manages to be welcoming without being overwhelming.

What really struck me about this place is how well it sits in the Olaya district. I mean, you’re right in the heart of Riyadh‘s business area, so yes, it gets busy during the week, but the hotel itself maintains this calm bubble. The rooms on the higher floors – and honestly, try to get one above the 10th floor if you can – give you these sweeping views of the city that are particularly stunning at sunset. The air conditioning is powerful (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), and the beds are legitimately comfortable. I’m usually pretty picky about pillows, but they’ve got this selection thing figured out. The bathrooms are spacious with those rain showers that actually feel like rain, not like someone’s sprinkling water on you through a colander.

The staff here genuinely knows their stuff – not in that rehearsed way, but like they actually want to help you navigate the city. The concierge pointed me toward some local restaurants I never would have found otherwise, and the front desk managed to sort out a last-minute meeting room situation without making it feel like I was asking for the moon. Parking is straightforward, which honestly can be a relief in this part of town. The pool area is smaller than what you might expect from a 5-star property, but it’s well-maintained and rarely crowded – I think most guests are too busy with business to lounge around, which works in your favor if you want to unwind. The fitness center is solid too, nothing revolutionary but it has everything you actually need. What I really appreciated was how quiet the hotel manages to stay despite being in such a central location – the soundproofing is clearly something they invested in properly.
