Marriott Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter
About
Look, I've stayed at my fair share of business hotels in the Middle East, but the Marriott Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter actually surprised me in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you walk into a five-star place and it feels like every other luxury chain? Well, this one's different โ there's something about the way they've designed the lobby with those soaring ceilings and warm lighting that immediately puts you at ease, even after a long flight into King Khalid.
The thing that really got me was how quiet everything is here. I mean, you're still in Riyadh, obviously, but the Diplomatic Quarter has this almost surreal calm to it โ especially compared to the chaos around King Fahd Road or downtown. My room on the seventh floor faced west, and honestly, watching the sunset paint those government buildings golden while sipping Arabic coffee from room service became my little daily ritual. The beds are legitimately comfortable too (I'm picky about this stuff), and the blackout curtains actually work, which is crucial when you're dealing with jet lag and those intense Saudi mornings.
What I appreciated most, though, was how the staff seemed to actually know the city. The concierge โ Ahmed, I think his name was โ didn't just give me the typical tourist spiel about Kingdom Centre. Instead, he pointed me toward this incredible traditional restaurant in Al Murabba that I never would've found otherwise, and he knew exactly which entrance to use at the National Museum to avoid the weekend crowds. The hotel's restaurant is solid for breakfast (their shakshuka is surprisingly authentic), but honestly, you'll want to explore the city's food scene โ and this place makes a perfect base for that. The only minor thing that bugged me was the pool area gets pretty packed during weekend afternoons when local families come in, but if you go early morning or late evening, you'll practically have it to yourself. All in all, it's one of those places where you can tell they're trying to do hospitality right, not just going through the motions.

Facilities and room were very good, but the restaurant and particularly the breakfast spread was excellent. Best hotel breakfast I've had in years, if not ever! ๐
I had a fantastic stay at the (Marriott Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter) The property was impeccably clean, and the staff were absolutely amazing and incredibly helpful, ensuring a wonderful experience throughout my stay. The food was delicious, and the design of the place was stunning. I was thrilled to discover that the hotel has a LEED GOLD certification, reflecting their commitment to sustainability ๐๐ผ The atmosphere was very inviting, and I loved the attention to detail in every aspect. I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay.
The location was perfect for our stay in the Diplomatic Quarter. We loved how the landscaping blended into the desert environment, and the facilities were wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast, and appreciated when the gentleman who checked us in gave us a late check-out for the next day. The shower/tub was so nice & I especially loved the eucalyptus shower gel. The housekeeping staff and restaurant staff were so kind and professional. The room service menu had a great variety, and the seafood platter was delicious.
Nice location. Greenery. Nice pool and spa.
great location,
The staff were extremely attentive and constantly went above and beyond. The food was healthy and good quality. facilities were good and immaculate but the spa was getting renovations. Highly recommended this for families and business stays.

Look, I’ll be honest with you โ when I first heard the name ุบุฑูู ููุฏููู ูุงุฎุฑู (which basically translates to “luxury hotel room“), I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name is pretty straightforward, almost refreshingly unpretentious for a 4-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best experiences come from places that don’t try […]

IntercityHotel Riyadh Malaz
You know what really surprised me about IntercityHotel Riyadh Malaz? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be the flashiest hotel in the city, but somehow gets all the important stuff absolutely right. I mean, when you’re dealing with Riyadh‘s intense heat and the general chaos of getting around Saudi Arabia’s capital, you […]
