Vittori Palace Hotel and Residences
About
You know what caught me off guard about Vittori Palace Hotel and Residences? It's one of those places that actually lives up to its grand name without feeling stuffy about it. I mean, when you first walk into the lobby, there's this immediate sense that someone really thought about every detail – the marble has these subtle veins that catch the light just right, and honestly, the staff manages to be attentive without hovering over you like you're going to pocket the silverware.
The rooms are where this place really shines, though. I stayed in one of the residence suites, and it felt more like borrowing a wealthy friend's apartment than being stuck in a hotel box. The bedroom actually has space to walk around (revolutionary concept, I know), and the bathroom – well, let's just say the rainfall shower is the kind you don't want to leave. What I really appreciated was the little kitchen setup; it's not just some sad mini-fridge and microwave situation, but actual appliances you could use if you wanted to grab groceries from a local market instead of eating out every single meal. The balcony views change depending on which side you're on, but even the courtyard-facing rooms have this peaceful quality that makes you forget you're in the middle of everything.
Here's the thing about five-star places – sometimes they try so hard to impress that they forget about the basics. Not here, though. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (tested it extensively, trust me), the air conditioning doesn't sound like a jet engine, and the beds are that perfect firmness where you don't sink in but don't feel like you're sleeping on concrete either. I had a minor issue with the keycard on the second day, and instead of making it this whole production, they just fixed it and upgraded my room service order as an apology. That 8.1 rating makes sense – it's excellent without being flawless, which honestly feels more authentic anyway. The spa downstairs is worth blocking out an afternoon for, especially if you time it right during the quieter weekday hours when you practically have the place to yourself.

What made the expedite extra special was the excellent customer service. I ended up falling sick unfortunately the moment I arrived and had to go to the hospital. A particular member of staff , Turki Al Hudaibi was kind enough to suggest exactly where I should go, and once I returned made sure I was alright. This was very much appreciated and a testament to the excellent customer service at this hotel
The location

The villa we reserved was very bad and dirty. We had to leave the hotel or change the villa. The reception was very helpful and polite to help in anyway they can . So they changed the villa for 2 bedroom suite and it was beautiful and clean. Thanks to the staff for there help.
