Riyadh luxury الملقا 2
About
Look, I've stayed at plenty of places in Saudi Arabia, but Riyadh luxury الملقا 2 honestly surprised me in the best way possible. When you first pull up to this 4-star property in Al Malqa, you might think it looks pretty standard from the outside – but don't let that fool you. The moment I walked into the lobby, I could tell they'd put real thought into the details. The marble floors have this subtle pattern that catches the light just right, and there's this gentle hum of perfectly calibrated air conditioning that you don't really notice until you realize how comfortable you are.
What really got me was how the staff seemed to anticipate what you needed before you even asked. I mean, I've been to fancier places that felt more like going through airport security than checking into a hotel, you know? Here, the front desk guy actually remembered my name by the second day and asked how my meetings in Riyadh were going. The rooms are spacious – and I'm talking genuinely spacious, not that "cozy" marketing speak that usually means you can touch both walls with your arms spread. The beds are firm but not rock-hard (thank goodness, because I've learned the hard way that Saudi hotels sometimes go overboard on the firmness), and they've got blackout curtains that actually work. Trust me, when you're dealing with that intense desert sun and trying to adjust to the local schedule, proper darkness is everything.
Honestly, what impressed me most was the attention to both international guests and local preferences – the breakfast spread had everything from perfectly flaky croissants to traditional Saudi dishes that actually tasted homemade, not like they came from some industrial kitchen. The coffee was strong enough to wake the dead, which I desperately needed after a few late nights exploring the city. Parking was never an issue (which, if you've driven around Riyadh, you know is basically a miracle), and the location in Al Malqa puts you close enough to the main business districts without being right in the chaos of downtown traffic. You can actually get a decent night's sleep here – no car horns blaring at 2 AM or construction noise starting before dawn. With a 9.5 rating, I thought maybe previous guests were being overly generous, but after spending nearly a week there, I get it. Sometimes a place just works, and this one really does.
