Riyadh Almajidiya Studio
About
You know what caught me off guard about Riyadh Almajidiya Studio? Walking in, I honestly wasn't expecting much from what looked like just another apartment building – but this place actually delivers way beyond its 4-star rating. I mean, when you see that 9.7 guest rating, you start wondering if it's too good to be true, but after spending a few days there, I get it completely.
The studio setup is really well thought out – and I'm someone who usually struggles with cramped spaces when I travel. The layout flows naturally from the sleeping area to a proper kitchenette (not one of those joke setups with a mini-fridge and a prayer), and there's actually enough counter space to spread out if you're working or just want to eat something other than room service. The bathroom surprised me too – good water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in Riyadh, and they keep it stocked with decent toiletries. Small thing, but the lighting throughout is warm and comfortable, not those harsh fluorescents that make you look like you're recovering from something serious.
What really sold me on this place though is how quiet it stays, even during busy times. The building seems well-insulated, and the staff – they're genuinely helpful without being hovering-around-you helpful, if that makes sense. Check-in was smooth, they remembered my name the next day, and when I mentioned I was looking for good local food, the front desk guy actually drew me a little map to places where locals eat, not just the tourist spots. The housekeeping is thorough without rearranging all your stuff, which drives me crazy at some hotels. Air conditioning works perfectly too, and believe me, that matters a lot in the Saudi heat. I actually found myself looking forward to coming back to the room after long days exploring the city, which doesn't always happen when you're staying somewhere just to sleep. For the price point and that location, it's honestly one of those finds that makes you want to keep it secret – but also makes you want to tell everyone about it.
