Look, I'll be honest with you – when I first heard I was staying at the Riyadh Airport Marriott Hotel, I figured it would be one of those generic airport crash pads where you just sleep off jet lag and move on. But you know what? I was actually pleasantly surprised by this place. Sure, it's got that business hotel vibe you'd expect from a 4-star Marriott, but there's something about how they've set it up that just works for travelers who need more than a basic stopover.
The thing that really got me was how quiet it is considering you're literally at the airport. I mean, you can hear planes if you really listen for them, but it's not that constant rumble that keeps you awake all night. The rooms are honestly pretty spacious – I had this king bed setup with a decent work area, and the bathroom was one of those modern marble situations that makes you feel fancier than you probably are. What I appreciated most was the blackout curtains actually work (you'd be surprised how many hotels mess this up), which is crucial when you're dealing with weird sleep schedules and that brutal Saudi sun. The air conditioning runs strong too, and trust me, you'll want that – even inside the airport area, the heat is no joke.
Staff-wise, they seem to get that most guests are either coming or going somewhere else, so they're pretty efficient with everything. Check-in was smooth, and they had this whole system down for early arrivals and late departures. The restaurant isn't going to win any awards, but the food is solid – they do a decent international breakfast buffet and their Arabic coffee is actually quite good. I spent some time in their lobby area working on my laptop, and the WiFi held up fine for video calls back home. Honestly, for what it is – a well-run airport hotel in Riyadh – it delivers exactly what you need without trying to be something it's not. If you're connecting through King Khalid International or need a reliable place to stay near the airport, this Marriott does the job well. Just don't expect to explore the city much from here – you're pretty committed to the airport area, but sometimes that's exactly what your travel plans call for.

A bit run down but very clean

The staff was really supportive and they gave us all the extra services we need it, also due to the late flight. We had a lovely executive room with access to lounge. I much appreciate the location close to the airport.

Business trip and very close to our customer. But in the middle of nowhere. The food buffet was really good, plenty of options.
The ambience and Facilities are good. Big meeting and conference rooms are available.

The staff are really good. bed is comfortable. Room is clean. It'll definitely meets your expectations. The restaurant at the hotel serves variety of food from different cuisine and it's delicious.
