What really won me over, though, was how they handle the details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The room had enough outlets in logical places (thank goodness), proper blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure was absolutely perfect. Not that aggressive hotel spray that feels like punishment, but strong and consistent. The beds are firm enough that you don’t sink into oblivion but soft enough that I slept better than I do at home. I also appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the pillow situation – just two really good ones instead of six mediocre decorative ones you have to move every night. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work too; everything was spotless but never felt like it had been sanitized to death, if that makes sense. Even during what seemed like a busy period, the service stayed personal and attentive without being hovering or intrusive. You get the feeling that the management actually cares about creating a genuine experience rather than just hitting corporate benchmarks.
