You know what caught me off guard about Palm Studio? I was expecting just another boutique place, but this 4-star gem actually feels like someone’s incredibly stylish apartment that they’ve decided to share with travelers. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense of calm – maybe it’s the way natural light filters through the space, or how everything feels curated without being stuffy.

I mean, a 9.7 rating sounds almost too good to be true until you spend a night there. The studio layout is brilliantly designed – and I say this as someone who’s stayed in plenty of cramped “studio” rooms that are basically glorified closets. Here, they’ve actually thought about how people move through a space. The kitchenette isn’t just decorative (I made proper coffee in the morning, not that instant stuff), and there’s genuine storage space for your things. Honestly, the bed situation alone justifies the stay – firm but not like sleeping on concrete, with linens that don’t feel like they came from a hotel supply catalog.

What I really appreciated were the small touches that show someone’s paying attention. The lighting actually works for reading, there are enough outlets near the bed (revolutionary concept, I know), and the bathroom has decent water pressure – these might sound basic, but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly complicated key card dance. I will say the walls could be slightly thicker – you won’t hear your neighbors having full conversations, but light sleepers might notice some movement in the hallways during busier times. Still, for what you’re getting at this price point, it’s really hard to find fault with the place. It’s the kind of spot where you actually look forward to coming back after a day out, rather than just tolerating it as somewhere to crash.

  Given there was an unforeseen complication from the owners side, the stay was excellent. I was met at the door on arrival, helped me with suitcase, and communication with the owner throughout was first class. The property was properly clean and ventilated, both challenging aspects for certain renters. A/C worked a treat and was fully manageable; again, a challenge in many previous Riyadh apts. Would definitely stay again.
