Le Meridien Riyadh Overview
You know what struck me first about Le Meridien Riyadh? It’s that perfect balance between international luxury and Saudi hospitality that’s honestly pretty hard to find. I mean, you walk into the lobby and there’s this immediate sense that whoever designed this place actually understood what travelers need – not just the fancy stuff, but the practical bits too. The marble floors are gorgeous, sure, but they’re not so polished that you’re slipping around with your luggage (trust me, I’ve been there at other places).
The rooms are spacious in that way that makes you wonder why other hotels cram everything together. I particularly loved how they’ve managed the lighting – there are actually enough outlets near the bed, and the blackout curtains work properly, which is crucial if you’re dealing with jet lag in Riyadh. The air conditioning is whisper-quiet, something you definitely appreciate during those scorching summer months when the city basically becomes an oven. What really impressed me was the attention to detail in the bathrooms – the water pressure is fantastic, and they stock those little amenities that you always forget to pack but desperately need.
The location puts you right in the heart of the business district, which might sound boring, but it’s actually brilliant if you want to experience modern Saudi life. You’re walking distance from some excellent restaurants that locals frequent – not just the touristy spots – and the shopping is ridiculous (in the best way). The hotel staff seem to genuinely know the area well, and I got some fantastic recommendations that I never would have found otherwise. Parking is straightforward, which anyone who’s driven in Riyadh will tell you is not something to take for granted. The pool area offers a nice escape from the city buzz, and it’s usually quiet during the day when most guests are out exploring or in meetings. Honestly, with that 8.3 rating, you’re looking at a place that consistently delivers without the pretentious attitude you sometimes get at five-star properties. It’s the kind of hotel where you can actually relax and feel like you’re experiencing the city properly, rather than being isolated from it.
Exploring Riyadh offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Saudi Arabia’s capital, from its ancient desert heritage to its futuristic skyline and world-renowned connections to Arabian culture and traditions.

Hotel was modern and bright. We paid extra for the higher level city view. Valet parking was a great bonus. Staff were great. We were only there for one night as we had a booking at Le Petit Chef restaurant, which is on the ground floor of the hotel and highly recommended.
Breakfast was nice and with a good selection of choices. There was also brunch available that looked great but we didn't have time to try it.Charles from United Kingdom (9/10)
