My room was on the seventh floor, and honestly, the view surprised me – you can see the whole Olaya district spread out below, all those glass towers catching the desert sun. The room itself is exactly what you’d expect from Ibis – compact but functional, with a bed that’s actually comfortable (I mean, not luxury hotel comfortable, but you’ll sleep fine). The AC works like a dream, which is crucial here because Riyadh doesn’t mess around with its heat.

What I really appreciated was how walkable everything is from here. You’re literally steps away from some solid Lebanese places and that massive Kingdom Centre mall if you need to grab anything or escape the heat for a few hours. The hotel sits right in the financial district, so weekdays can get pretty busy with business travelers, but weekends it mellows out considerably. Parking was straightforward – they’ve got a decent-sized lot that never seemed completely full when I was there. One thing though, the walls aren’t the thickest, so if you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack some earplugs because you’ll occasionally hear your neighbors chatting or watching TV. The breakfast is standard Ibis fare – nothing fancy, but there’s Arabic bread, some local cheese options, and decent coffee that’ll get you going in the morning. I actually spent most evenings just walking around the neighborhood, which feels safe and has that urban energy that’s hard to find in other parts of the city. For the price point and location, it’s honestly a solid choice if you want to be in the thick of things without breaking the bank on one of those fancy tower hotels.
