It actually feels like someone's really nice apartment that they decided to rent out – except with way better housekeeping than I'd ever manage. I mean, the whole extended-stay concept has been done to death in most cities, but this place gets the balance right between having your own space and still feeling like you're being looked after.

The location on Hittin Boulevard is honestly pretty smart if you know the area at all. You're far enough from the main tourist chaos to actually get some sleep, but close enough that you're not spending half your day in traffic getting anywhere interesting. I stayed here for about a week last month, and what really won me over was how the staff seemed to remember small things – like how I always asked for extra coffee pods, or that I preferred my room serviced in the afternoon rather than first thing in the morning. It's that kind of attention that makes a 4-star place feel more premium than its rating suggests, and honestly, that 9.1 rating makes complete sense once you've been there a few days.

The rooms themselves are what you'd hope for but rarely get – actually functional kitchen setups where you can cook real meals, not just heat up instant noodles. The living areas have enough space that you don't feel like you're camping out in a hotel room, which becomes crucial if you're staying more than a couple nights. I particularly liked how they've set up the work areas (since, let's face it, most of us end up doing some work even on vacation). Still, for what you get and how the whole experience feels, it's definitely one of those places I'd book again without hesitation.
