Grand Plaza Hotel – Takhasosi Riyadh Overview
Look, when I first walked into the Grand Plaza Hotel – Takhasosi Riyadh, I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting much from another business hotel in the capital. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby has this warm, understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the flashier spots around town, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests rather than just going through the motions. You know what I mean? There’s something refreshing about that level of authentic hospitality, especially when you’ve been traveling for hours.
What really won me over was how well they understand what travelers actually need. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and honestly, the beds are fantastic – I’m talking proper deep sleep, which is rare for me in hotels. The air conditioning works like a dream (crucial in Saudi summers, obviously), and they’ve got those blackout curtains that actually block light, not the flimsy things that let sunrise wake you up at 5 AM. Small details, but they matter when you’re trying to adjust to a new time zone or just need decent rest between business meetings. The bathrooms are modern and well-maintained, though I will say the water pressure could be a touch stronger – not a dealbreaker, just an observation.
Here’s the thing about this hotel’s location on Takhasosi Street – it’s actually pretty smart. You’re close enough to the main business district that taxi rides don’t cost a fortune, but far enough from the absolute chaos that you can get some peace when you need it. I found myself within easy reach of decent restaurants and coffee shops, and if you need to grab essentials or do some shopping, there are plenty of options nearby without having to trek across Riyadh. The area gets busy during rush hour (what part of the city doesn’t?), but evenings are surprisingly quiet. Parking was straightforward when I had a rental car, which honestly can be hit or miss at hotels around here. The 4-star rating feels accurate – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything works well and the service consistently impressed me. That 8.3 rating makes sense too; it’s the kind of place where you’d happily stay again because they get the fundamentals right without any unnecessary fuss.
Riyadh’s apartments offer luxurious accommodations with contemporary features, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this culturally rich Arabian capital.

Aliheydar from Azerbaijan (9/10)
The room was spacious, there was an extra desk, the chaise lounge in the room next to the bathroom was a great idea to lie down so as not to spoil the bed. There was a kettle and cups for drinking tea and I really liked it 🙂 The room has a small balcony which is also convenient for getting some fresh air and going out to look around. The environment is not very noisy
