Erfad Hotel – Riyadh
About
I'll be honest, when I first walked into the Erfad Hotel - Riyadh, I wasn't expecting much from a three-star place – but this spot actually surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes a hotel just feels right the moment you step through the lobby? That's what happened here. The staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests arrive, which is refreshing in a city where hospitality can sometimes feel a bit rushed.
What really struck me about this place is how they've managed to nail the essentials without trying to be something they're not. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully arranged – I mean, someone actually considered where you'd want to plug in your phone and put your luggage, which sounds basic but you'd be amazed how many places get this wrong. The air conditioning works like a dream (crucial in Riyadh, obviously), and the beds are genuinely comfortable, not just adequate. I slept better here than I have in some supposedly fancier places. The bathrooms are spotless with decent water pressure, and they stock proper toiletries, not those tiny bottles that are empty after one use.
The location is honestly pretty smart – you're not right in the middle of the tourist chaos, but you're not stuck way out somewhere either. It's in one of those neighborhoods where you can actually walk around a bit and see how people really live, grab coffee from local spots, maybe pick up things you forgot to pack. The hotel's restaurant serves solid Middle Eastern breakfast spreads, though I'd recommend venturing out for dinner since there are some fantastic local places within walking distance that the front desk staff are happy to recommend (and they actually know what they're talking about, not just rattling off the same three touristy spots). Parking is straightforward, which anyone who's driven in Riyadh will appreciate – no circling the block or paying ridiculous fees. The whole place just runs smoothly without drama, you know? Check-in was quick, the elevators work properly, and the Wi-Fi actually reaches your room at decent speeds. With an 8.8 rating, it's clear other travelers have figured out what I did – sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that focus on getting the fundamentals right rather than flashy extras you'll never use.

The room was very spacious and very clean. Staff was very pleasant upon check in and we were welcomed with a fresh juice. They gave us one of the 2 rooms early which allowed us to continue with our day easily.
The room had a window, however there was a wall against it and therefore we could only see a wall and no light was able to come through. At night it was very cold and there was no heating system. There are very few sockets in the room so If you are sharing a room it is difficult to charge your devices. We had to remove one lamp to be able to charge our phones.
Every thing, staff and cleans ..safety and comfort.
I don’t like the support from Booking.com team , and was not professional at all …. I doubt that use booking again.
Clean, comfortable, and with friendly service that didn’t hover—just the right amount of attention! Plus, the location was centrally located for my various meetings.
Like much of Riyadh, the hotel is conveniently located next to a construction site, but to help with the noise and view, my room's windows were drylined—lovely touch! Thankfully, since I was out at meetings, I didn’t mind, and the room itself was so spacious and fabulous, I nearly needed a map to find my way around!
Staff are friendly, the room was spacious and clean
Hotel location is locked due to the excavation work surrounding.
