Emaar Holiday Homes Al Malqa Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Emaar Holiday Homes Al Malqa, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a 3-star property in this part of town. But you know what? Sometimes these mid-range places surprise you, and this one actually did. The whole setup feels more like staying in someone’s well-appointed apartment than a traditional hotel, which I mean, makes sense given the “holiday homes” concept they’re going for.
What really caught my attention was how they’ve managed to create this sort of residential vibe while still keeping things professional. The units – and I’m calling them units because they’re more spacious than your typical hotel rooms – have this lived-in quality that doesn’t feel sterile or overly corporate. The kitchenette situation is actually pretty decent if you’re the type who likes to grab groceries and do your own thing sometimes (though honestly, with all the great food options around Al Malqa, you might not use it as much as you think). The furnishing feels contemporary without trying too hard, and there’s enough storage space that you won’t be living out of your suitcase for the entire stay.
The location in Al Malqa is one of those spots that works really well if you understand Riyadh‘s layout – it’s not right in the downtown chaos, but you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere either. I’ve found it’s particularly good for business travelers who need to get around to different parts of the city without dealing with the congestion you get closer to the center. The neighborhood has this emerging feel to it, with new developments popping up but still maintaining some breathing room. Parking was straightforward when I was there, which honestly is half the battle in this city. The 8.5 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers on what it promises without any major headaches. The staff seemed to actually know the area well, which is refreshing when you need recommendations or directions. I’d say it’s particularly solid for extended stays or if you’re traveling with family and want that extra space and flexibility.

The apartments are in a great location and spacious. The beds are good, everything is new; the kitchen is well equipped with basic cooking tools and a washing machine. The host is very responsive and helpful.
What could be improved: The bathrooms have no shower tray or curtain, so everything gets wet when you shower. The rooms have either no window or windows that face a wall. You have to bring or buy all basic amenities (shower gel, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent etc.)Fatima from Saudi Arabia – 16 November 2024 (9/10)

The location of this property is really good. You are walking distance to some trendy cafes and the supermarket Is quite close (probably not walkable in Summer).
It’s spacious so you can easily spread out your things without cluster.
What could be improved: If you plan to utilise the kitchen, even just to make coffee you will need to purposely go out to buy your own cleaning products. I wish they would factor the price into the stay and include general household items as I went to buy cleaning products but then it goes to waste as I cannot take them on my flight with me.
More kitchen items could be Included too like a pot, chopping board, kitchen knives.
Also, not the property’s fault but I was assigned the room right next to the front door so all night while trying to sleep you will hear the door slam over and over again. People were chatting In front of the window on the street that was next to my bedroom so that was extremely frustrating as I am a light sleeper.Saleh from Kuwait – 24 September 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Barking are is very small. Out door barking always full due to the area is very occupied .Faisal from Qatar – 30 March 2024 (8/10)
I liked very much the way and ease of dealing with the apartment owner, as well as the cleanliness of the apartment upon receipt, as I have lived there 3 times and each time it was with the same cleanliness and comfort.
The location is very excellent and close to all events. I You will book it again
What could be improved: I did not like that there were no TV channels (satellite), there were not many towels, there was no luggage transportation service to the apartment, and the pillows were uncomfortable.
