The elevators are fast (thank god, because nobody wants to wait around with a bunch of suited business types), and they’ve got this smart layout where the meeting spaces flow naturally from the main areas without creating chaos in the lobby. The rooms themselves are spacious – I’m talking properly spacious, not that “generous” marketing speak – with blackout curtains that actually work and air conditioning that keeps up with Riyadh’s relentless heat. You know what I appreciated most? The shower pressure was fantastic, and the wifi didn’t cut out every ten minutes like some five-star places I’ve stayed at.

The restaurant situation is solid too, though I’d recommend venturing out into the city for dinner if you have time.
