Continent Al Waha Hotel Riyad
About
I'll be honest – when I first pulled up to Continent Al Waha Hotel Riyad, I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this 4-star spot. The name suggests something grand and sprawling, and while it's not exactly a luxury palace, there's definitely something solid and reliable about this place that grew on me during my stay.
What actually impressed me most was how the hotel manages to feel both modern and authentically Saudi at the same time. The lobby has this interesting mix of contemporary design with traditional touches that doesn't feel forced or touristy – you know what I mean? It's like they actually thought about creating a space that works for both business travelers and families, which can be tricky to pull off. The staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing too, which honestly isn't always a given at mid-range hotels. Check-in was smooth, and they had this quiet efficiency that I really appreciated after a long flight into Riyadh.
The rooms are what you'd expect from a solid 4-star – nothing that'll blow you away, but everything works and it's clean. I mean, the beds are actually comfortable (I'm picky about mattresses), and the air conditioning is powerful enough to handle the desert heat, which is crucial during summer months. The bathrooms are well-maintained with decent water pressure – small details that matter when you're trying to wash off a day of exploring the city. What surprised me was how quiet it stays at night, even though you're right in the heart of things. I'm a light sleeper, so that was a huge plus for me. The WiFi is reliable throughout the property, which is honestly more than I can say for some fancier places I've stayed.
Here's the thing about this hotel – it sits in a really practical spot for getting around Riyadh, whether you're here for business or sightseeing. You're not stuck in some isolated hotel district, but you're also not dealing with crazy street noise all night. The area has that authentic city vibe without feeling overwhelming, and there are actually some decent local restaurants within walking distance if you want to venture beyond hotel dining. Speaking of which, their restaurant serves solid Middle Eastern and international options – nothing revolutionary, but the breakfast spread is generous and the Arabic coffee is properly strong. The service throughout the property has this genuine warmth that makes the 7.7 rating make perfect sense. It's not trying to be something it's not, but what it does, it does well. For the price point, especially in Riyadh where decent accommodation can get expensive quickly, this place delivers honest value without any unpleasant surprises.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Riyadh at least two months ahead for major events like business conferences and cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular destinations.

Would like to thanks Handel for the reception team
Close location to a Olaya Road.. walking distance to metro station, good buffet breakfast
Was amazing location stuff room was so clean and so comfortable.
Price, all receptionist are very kind, location of the hotel
The best part was Abudullah at front desk. He was very helpfult
Cannot really point out something I liked. It was an OK hotel, a bit overpriced for my taste and with kinda dodgy surroundings. It is in the middle of electronics market that tends to be pretty unsafe at night.
Can't fault this hotel, great staff, rooms are lovely and clean and large, room service was really promt and nothing was an issue. Very happy to recommend.
It’s location

Modern self-Entry in al malga
You know what caught me off guard about Modern self-Entry in al malga? The whole self-check-in thing actually works perfectly – and I say this as someone who usually needs three attempts to use a hotel key card properly. I was honestly skeptical at first (I mean, what happens when the tech inevitably fails?), but […]

Gardino Hotel & Residence
You know what really struck me about the Gardino Hotel & Residence when I first walked in? It’s got this perfect balance between feeling upscale and actually being comfortable – and I mean that in the best way possible. So many 4-star places try too hard to impress you with marble everything, but this place […]

شقة غرفتين وصالة بتصميم فاخر 2Br
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name شقة غرفتين وصالة بتصميم فاخر 2Br, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The Arabic translates to something like “two-bedroom apartment with luxury design,” which, you know what, actually undersells what you’re getting here. This is one of those places where the 4-star rating […]
