ALMALQA HAVEN – الملقا – الرياض
About
You know what caught me off guard about ALMALQA Haven? I honestly wasn't expecting much from a 4-star place in Al Malqa, but this spot actually gets it right in ways that surprised me. The moment you walk into the lobby, there's this calm, understated elegance that doesn't try too hard – which is refreshing in a city where some hotels go completely overboard with the marble and gold everything approach.
The Al Malqa district itself is sort of having this renaissance moment, and this hotel sits right in the sweet spot of it all. I mean, you're close enough to the business district that you won't spend your life in traffic (trust me, that matters in Riyadh), but far enough from the chaos that you can actually get some peace. The staff here – and I'm not just saying this – they genuinely seem to care about getting the details right. My check-in was smooth, no weird surprises with the room, and when I had a question about getting to King Khalid International Airport early in the morning, they had actual helpful advice, not just "take a taxi."
What really won me over was how they've managed to blend modern comfort with touches that feel authentically Saudi without being cheesy about it. The rooms are spacious enough that you're not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and honestly, the beds are better than what you'd expect – I actually slept well, which doesn't always happen when I'm traveling. The 9.2 rating makes sense once you've been there a few days; it's those little things that add up. Like how the Wi-Fi actually works reliably (revolutionary concept, I know), or how the housekeeping team doesn't rearrange all your stuff when they clean. The breakfast spread is solid too – they do a nice mix of international options and local flavors, though I'd recommend getting there before 9 AM if you want the good Arabic coffee before it gets too crowded. The location really works if you're doing business in the area or just want to explore this part of Riyadh without dealing with the intensity of the city center. Parking was never an issue, which – let's be honest – is half the battle anywhere in the capital. Would I stay here again? Yeah, definitely. It's one of those places that just works without any drama, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

شقة مودرن مميزة وانيقه بمدخل ذاتي
You know what caught me off guard about شقة مودرن مميزة وانيقه بمدخل ذاتي? The name literally translates to “distinctive and elegant modern apartment with private entrance,” and honestly – they weren’t kidding about any of those descriptors. I stumbled across this place almost by accident when my usual go-to was fully booked, and it […]

WAW Hotel Suites King Abdullah District
Honestly, when I first heard about WAW Hotel Suites King Abdullah District, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the name alone tells you it’s in one of the newer parts of town, but that could mean anything in a rapidly growing city. What I found was actually a pretty solid 4-star setup that gets […]

استديو جميل 1
First Impressions When I first stumbled upon استديو جميل 1 tucked away in Riyadh’s Qurtuba district, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star studio setup. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you. This place sits right behind the Brera Hotel on Al-Sadr Street, and while it might […]

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Rafa – Al Nuzhah, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect.
