I’ll be honest – when I first heard about نجد هاوس – نساء فقط Ladies Hostel, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a women-only accommodation, but honestly? It turned out to be one of those hidden gems that completely changes how you think about solo female travel. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense of… well, relief, I guess. You know that feeling when you can finally let your guard down? That’s exactly what this place gives you.

What really strikes me about this hostel is how they’ve managed to create something that feels both safe and social at the same time. I mean, you’ve got women from all walks of life staying here – solo travelers, business women, students – and there’s this natural camaraderie that develops. The common areas actually get used (unlike so many places where everyone just hides in their rooms), and I found myself having some of the most interesting conversations over tea in the evenings. The staff clearly understand what female travelers need – they’re attentive without being intrusive, and they seem to genuinely care about making sure everyone feels comfortable.

The 4-star rating isn’t just for show either. The rooms are properly maintained, the bathrooms are spotless (which, let’s face it, is crucial), and the whole place has this calm, organized vibe that makes you feel like you can actually relax. I was particularly impressed with how quiet it stays, even when it’s busy – there’s obviously some kind of understanding among guests about respecting each other’s space. The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s one of those places where the little details add up to something special. You know what really got me? They have proper lighting in the bathrooms and good water pressure – sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many places get that wrong. If you’re a woman traveling alone or just want a break from mixed accommodations, this place actually delivers on creating that sanctuary feeling without making you feel isolated from the city around you.

  Very friendly, cozy place to stay. Super clean, comfortable bed, well-equipped, you can have coffee / tea, fruits for free, enough space to store your stuff (in a private wardrobe and also in the common fridge), enough bathroom, don't have to wait to have shower. The communication is super smooth, the lady is available in person and per Whatsapp too. There are community rooms inside and on the rooftop too, you can get into contact with other women and also have space for some privacy. The hospitality is beyond words 🙂

  Nadia, the owner, is so sweet. She really made me feel welcome, and her breakfast was great! The hostel is clean and quiet, and the other women there were very nice. It felt like a family there. I would definitely recommend this hostel to any women who are traveling in Riyadh. I felt very safe which is important as a solo female traveler. Each bed also had a locker, so you could put your stuff there if you needed. She also gave us a little welcome package with a disposable towel and some toiletries. I wanted to stay longer, but she did not have availability the next couple of days that I was here. There were also laundry facilities, a game room, and a nice place on the roof to hang out.
