The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually lives here and cares about the details. I mean, we’re talking about fresh linens that smell like they were just pulled off someone’s grandmother’s clothesline, not that industrial hotel detergent smell you usually get. The kitchen – and this is important if you’re like me and can’t survive on restaurant food for more than three days – actually has everything you need. Sharp knives, decent pans, even proper coffee cups instead of those tiny hotel ones that make you feel like you’re playing house. The Boulevard location means you’re right in the thick of things without being stuck in some tourist trap area, which honestly makes all the difference when you want to grab groceries or just take a walk without dodging selfie sticks every five minutes.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to comfort that you just don’t get in regular hotels. The beds are actually comfortable – like, sink-into-them-after-a-long-day comfortable, not those rock-hard mattresses some four-star places think pass for luxury. And the soundproofing is surprisingly good; I was worried about street noise being right on the Boulevard, but honestly, once you close the windows, it’s peaceful enough that you can actually sleep in if you want to. The bathroom has proper water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re traveling), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase the entire time. The whole setup just feels more… real, I suppose. Like you’re borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment rather than staying in some sterile hotel room where everything’s bolted down and wrapped in plastic.
